You start your consultation in the Skindr app or in your browser. No appointment, no referral letter, and you do not need to come in.
The five steps
You describe your skin problem. Take your time with this. The questionnaire asks how long you have had it, what you have already tried and which medication you use. Your dermatologist reads all of that before assessing your photos.
You upload your photos and pay online. Uploading is quickest via the app. What you pay depends on how fast you want an answer.
A certified dermatologist reviews your file. They review your photos and your questionnaire personally. If they need extra information or an extra photo, they will ask you for it.
You receive your treatment plan. You get an email as soon as it is ready. You will find the plan itself in your consultation, with what you have, what to do about it and what to expect.
You can keep asking questions. Via the chat in your consultation, until your dermatologist closes it.
One consultation, one skin problem
A consultation covers one person and one skin problem.
If you have two unrelated complaints, for example acne and eczema, start a separate consultation for each. That way both get the attention they need, instead of one assessment spread across two problems.
What you keep
Your treatment plan stays in the app, even after your consultation has been closed. You can go back to it weeks later to check how long you need to keep using something.
If your plan includes a prescription, it is placed on your eID. That way you can collect your medication from any pharmacy.
Your file builds up over time. If you come back for a follow-up, your dermatologist already has your history to hand.
Read ‘What happens after you submit your consultation?’ for what you can expect in the days that follow.
