My prescription is not on my eID

The four steps to find a prescription your pharmacy cannot see, and the most common cause.

Are you at the pharmacy and your pharmacist cannot find your prescription? Most of the time, you can sort it out yourself within a few minutes.

Four steps

  1. Check that it is really there. Log in to mijngezondheid.be, or masante.belgique.be in French, with itsme or your eID card reader. All your electronic prescriptions are listed there, including those from Skindr.

  2. Is nothing there? Let us know through your consultation. We will ask your dermatologist to place the prescription on your eID again.

  3. Is it there? Print the barcode. You will find it next to the prescription. Any pharmacist can dispense your medication with it, even if the search at the pharmacy found nothing.

  4. Try another pharmacy. Sometimes the search works there. It takes ten minutes and often solves the problem.

The most common cause

If your consultation was started for someone else, the prescription is placed on the eID of that person and not on yours.

And if there is a mistake in the national register number in the file, the pharmacy will not find anything at all. The medication has been prescribed, but it is not linked to the right person.

So check the national register number first. Read "Starting a consultation for someone else".

You never pay for this

A prescription that did not arrive is our problem to solve and not a reason to start over. You therefore do not have to pay for a new consultation.

If you do not have a Belgian eID

In that case, there is nothing to link the prescription to. We will then send it to you as a pdf in your consultation. Read "I do not have a Belgian eID".
