If your dermatologist decides that an examination at a practice is needed, there are two routes.
Via a Skindr partner location
We arrange for you to see a dermatologist near you as quickly as possible. This is usually faster than finding an appointment yourself.
Via a referral letter
You receive a letter and book an appointment yourself with a dermatologist of your choice.
The letter states what your dermatologist found and why an examination is needed. The specialist therefore already knows what to look out for. You are not starting from scratch and you do not have to explain your story again.
When you receive financial compensation or a voucher
Two situations:
Your dermatologist decided that an in-person consultation was needed and referred you in person. Because we could not help you, we provide financial compensation.
We could not offer you a suitable partner location near you. In that case, you receive a voucher.
The voucher is worth the same as what you paid and does not expire. Read "When do I get a voucher?".
What we cannot provide
If your examination took place at a partner location, we cannot give you proof or a report of that visit. We do not have access to that practice's administration, so please ask them directly. The same applies to invoices for that visit.
Your GP
The report of your Skindr consultation is sent to your GP, so that they stay informed about what was found and prescribed.
