Starting a consultation for someone else

How to start a consultation for your child or a family member, who receives the communication, and why the national register number matters.

You can start a consultation for your minor child, for a family member, or for someone you act on behalf of.

How it works

  1. Upload the photos and describe the skin problem.

  2. Indicate who the consultation is for and fill in that person's details.

  3. Then fill in your own contact details.

Whoever creates the account receives the communication

All emails and notifications about the consultation go to the person who created the account. If you start a consultation for your mother, the treatment plan will reach you and you will pass it on.

If the patient wants to receive everything themselves, it is best for them to create their own account and start the consultation there. For an adult who is able to do this, you then do not have to act as the go-between for every follow-up question.

A prescription always goes on the patient's eID

A prescription always goes on the eID of the patient themselves, not on yours.

That is why the patient's details must be exactly right, and the national register number most of all. A mistake there is the most common reason why a pharmacy cannot find a prescription. The medication has been prescribed, but it is not linked to the right person.

Check that number twice before you submit.

Two people means two consultations

A consultation applies to one person. If you and your child both need help, start one for each of you.

Read "Who receives the communication about my consultation?" if you are not sure which account everything goes to.
