Whoever creates the account receives all communication. Every email and notification about the consultation goes to that address, even when the consultation is for someone else.
What that means in practice
If you start a consultation for your child or your parent, the treatment plan and all messages come to you. You read them and pass them on. The patient does not get a separate copy.
If the patient wants to receive everything themselves, it is best for them to create their own account and start the consultation there. For an adult who is able to do this, it is worth considering. That way, you do not have to pass on what was said with every follow-up question.
The prescription is the exception
A prescription is issued on the eID of the patient themselves, never on the eID of the person who created the account.
The communication and the medication therefore end up in two different places. That is normal.
It does mean that the patient's national register number must be correct. Read “Starting a consultation for someone else”.
Was your consultation created by someone else?
This happens when a pharmacy, a practice or a family member starts a consultation for you. If you cannot see anything, this is usually the reason.
Let us know and we will look into whether the consultation can be transferred to your own account.
