My medication has run out, how do I get a new prescription?

One question determines the answer: have you reached your follow-up yet?

Have you not reached your follow-up yet, or are you already there? That determines everything. Your dermatologist plans your treatment up to the one moment when your skin needs to be looked at again. Everything before that is part of your current treatment and is free. From that moment on, an assessment comes first, and that is paid.

Your treatment is still ongoing

Your course is still ongoing when your pharmacy supplies your medication in instalments, you are waiting for blood results before the next phase, or your pack does not quite cover your full course.

You have not reached your follow-up yet: free

Your dermatologist gave a time to come back, and that time is still ahead of you. Contact us at [email protected] or through the chat. You can find all the options at skindr.com/contacteer-ons. The missing prescriptions will then be added to your existing consultation. You do not start a new consultation for this and your treatment does not come to a halt.

You are already past that moment: paid

If you have no prescription left and the time to come back has passed, you first book a follow-up. You receive your prescriptions during that follow-up.

This is not a formality. Your skin has been responding to the treatment for weeks in the meantime, and your dermatologist needs to see whether the same approach is still the right one before prescribing further.

Your treatment has finished

If you have completed your course and want to start again or continue, a new consultation is needed. Your dermatologist will then assess whether the treatment is still the right one, whether it is still working, and whether anything needs to change.

If you have questions about your medication or want to extend it, our support team will always help you. Contact us at [email protected] or through the chat. You can find all the options at skindr.com/contacteer-ons.

Not sure which situation you are in?

Let us know what you are taking, when you started, how much more you need to finish your course, and whether your dermatologist gave a time to come back.

We will then tell you which route applies to you, rather than having you pay for something you did not need.
